Antique corner basin for lavatory of hall with a blue flower decoration of poppies and grasses. . The high back of this basin has a hole for a wall tap. This basin comes from a Paris mansion.
The basin was made around 1900. The blue flower motive was a very popular decoration that was used by many firms in both England and France. It has however become rare to find a basin in this excellent condition. The basin falls away into the wall which makes it come out less into the space, you might call it a 'space safer' avant la lettre.
