Shaggy Ink Cap Christmas Ornament
A remarkable and almost fairy-tale-like Christmas ornament in the shape of a shaggy ink cap mushroom, beautifully hand-painted and richly finished with delicate glitter details. With its elegant cap, refined texture and natural colours, this ornament instantly brings the mysterious atmosphere of the forest to the Christmas tree.
The shaggy ink cap mushroom is admired for its distinctive appearance and the fascinating process in which the cap slowly dissolves into an ink-like liquid as it matures. Because of this unusual transformation, the mushroom has long captured the imagination of nature lovers, artists and collectors of botanical curiosities. This ornament therefore makes a wonderful addition to a Christmas tree filled with woodland decorations and nature-inspired ornaments.
Each ornament is mouth-blown from glass and entirely hand-painted by hand. Thanks to the traditional craftsmanship, every mushroom ornament is slightly unique and beautifully reflects the warm glow of Christmas lights.
