The Sun King Christmas Ornament
The Sun King in the Christmas tree. A majestic and richly detailed Christmas ornament inspired by the Sun King, beautifully hand-painted and adorned with shimmering golden accents. With its radiant sun shape, regal appearance and theatrical details, this ornament instantly brings the grandeur of royal palaces and baroque splendour to the Christmas tree.
The title “Sun King” famously refers to King Louis XIV of France, who adopted the sun as a symbol of power, light and eternal glory. Throughout seventeenth-century art and architecture, sun motifs appeared as signs of wealth, elegance and magnificence. This ornament captures that same atmosphere of luxury and historical opulence, making it a perfect addition to a classic and richly decorated Christmas tree.
Each ornament is mouth-blown from glass and entirely hand-painted by hand, finished with delicate glitter details that beautifully reflect the warm glow of Christmas lights. Thanks to the traditional craftsmanship, every Sun King ornament is slightly unique and full of character.
