Scallop Christmas Ornament
A lovely scallop! Hand-made glass shells for the Christmas tree.
An elegant Christmas ornament in the shape of a scallop shell, richly detailed with refined lines, glossy accents and beautifully hand-painted nuances. The graceful form of this remarkable shell gives the ornament a classic and almost baroque appearance on the Christmas tree.
For centuries, the scallop shell has symbolised travel, pilgrimage and protection, becoming especially well known as the emblem of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. The shell has also appeared throughout art, architecture and interior decoration because of its harmonious shape and timeless elegance. This ornament therefore fits beautifully within both classical and nautical Christmas collections.
Each ornament is mouth-blown from glass and entirely hand-painted by hand, finished with delicate glitter accents that beautifully reflect the warm glow of Christmas lights. Thanks to the traditional craftsmanship, every shell ornament is slightly unique and full of character.
Christmas decorations in beautiful thick and richly coloured hand-painted glass.
