Review Antique French trefoil side table — patinated iron
Description
Antique French trefoil side table — patinated wrought iron, circa 1900
A charming antique trefoil side table made around 1900 in France. The three-lobed top with its raised gallery edge sits on a graceful tripod base of patinated wrought iron, finished with scrolled feet and a finely worked handle at the top, making the piece easy to lift and move.
The original cream-white paint has worn beautifully over the decades, revealing flashes of the dark iron beneath — a lived-in patina that simply can't be reproduced. Tables like this once lived in conservatories, boudoirs and bathrooms. Today it sits at home beside a freestanding bath, holding scent bottles, soaps or a glass within easy reach.
