Antique Coquille Cloak Room Basin
A beautiful antique wall-mounted sink made in Germany around 1910. This charming model takes its name from the elegantly scalloped outer shape, reminiscent of a shell — a decorative detail typical of the graceful design language found in the late Jugendstil and early Art Deco period.
Although compact in size, the basin has a remarkably decorative presence. The flowing contours and softly curved edges give it an almost sculptural quality on the wall. It reflects a time when even the most functional sanitary objects were designed with beauty and craftsmanship in mind.
The sink remains in excellent antique condition and still retains its original factory stamp on the back, a lovely authentic feature that connects the piece to its early twentieth-century origins.
Its modest dimensions make it ideal for a cloakroom, powder room or carefully curated historic interior where atmosphere and authenticity matter.
